“HO’ONANI “ means to “glorify, honor, exalt, praise, or adore.” Combine it with “LUMI KUKE” meaning kitchen in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, and you step into my Tūtū’s kitchen in Kane’ohe, Hawai’i, where I can smell the kalua pork and remember her making meals for our “ohana” while praising our great Heavenly Father, Ke Akua, for the nourishment of our bodies and all the blessings in our lives.
